Nintendo partners with McDonald’s to bring famous characters to Happy Meals, starting today

Nintendo is partnering with McDonald’s to bring some of its most famous characters from the Mushroom Kingdom to Happy Meals everywhere. Starting today and running through May 22, anyone who purchases a Happy Meal at participating McDonald’s restaurants across the U.S. will receive one of eight fun toys based on Super Mario characters. These classic and instantly recognizable characters are also featured in the upcoming Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game for Nintendo’s newest system, Nintendo Switch.

Afghanistan ’11 Review

Making a game about the war in Afghanistan is a difficult task, one that must be a careful blend of respect and entertainment. To which, the developers at Every Single Soldier have done successfully. While Afghanistan ’11 is a follow-up to Vietnam ’65, containing the same type of gameplay but a whole new world and whole new era that separates the two games greatly. Afghanistan ’11 takes you through a different kind of war, one that requires forward thinking and spinning a record number of plates to keep everyone in the game happy, those local and those abroad.

Hearts of Iron IV gets new expansion, Death or Dishonor later this year

Armchair generals extraordinaire Paradox Interactive today announced that Hearts of Iron IV players will soon have more difficult decisions to make with the launch of Death or Dishonor, a brand new country pack coming later this year. Death or Dishonor focuses on the countries of Europe caught between the dueling ambitions of the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany – faced with total destruction by a much larger force or making uncomfortable alliances, survival will take compromise, guile, and perhaps a teensy bit of luck. Death or Dishonor will be available for $9.99 on Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs — and will be delivered for free to all Expansion Pass owners.
