Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD announced for Digital Release in January 2014

Today, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD, the striking chapter in the pre–American Revolution Assassin’s Creed saga, will arrive for the first time as a digital title on PlayStation Network on January 14, 2014, on Windows PC on January 15, 2014, and on Xbox Live online entertainment network from Microsoft in early 2014. 

As Aveline, the first playable female Assassin in the Assassin’s Creed saga, you must use your skill, instinct and weaponry – including a machete, poison-dart blowpipe, a whip and duelling pistols – to hunt down and eliminate your enemies as you embark on an unforgettable journey that will take you from the crowded streets of New Orleans, through voodoo-haunted swamps and ancient Mayan ruins.

CONTRAST not only looks great, but sounds great and is available for pre-order

CONTRAST, the multi-award winning puzzle/platform game for PC, PlayStation Store and Xbox LIVE Arcade developed by Compulsion Games, today captivates us with its music through a new video, featuring the sublime voice of Laura Ellis.

Delivering a captivating ambiance of the brilliance of film noir mixed with the tease of burlesque and infusing a sultry jazz soundtrack, CONTRAST enthrals with every plot twist.  A unique game mechanic allows players to shift in and out of the shadow dimension playing light against dark as you make your way through a mysterious adventure. Today’s trailer reveals one of the tracks from the original soundtrack of the game, House on Fire performed by the talented jazz singer Laura Ellis. The lyrics were written by Compulsion Games and the music was composed by the talented audio team from WaveGeneration Audio, all originally scored for CONTRAST.

CONTRAST will be available mid-November, and will be available in two packages: the standard digital edition, and a Collector’s Edition which includes the Original Soundtrack of CONTRAST as well as the CONTRAST “Programme”, a 52-page art book containing the art commented throughout by the development team.

Final Exam trailer gives an overview of the game

Final Exam, the pure 2.5D side-scroller drenched in blood and zany humor, developed by Mighty Rocket Studio for PC, Xbox LIVE® Arcade and PlayStation Network, is presented in more detail through an explosive overview trailer.

Brutal Joe, one of the four playable characters of the game, tells us about all the ingredients composing the explosive cocktail Final Exam. Alone or in cooperative mode (4 players online and 2 in local play), you will have to survive the attacks of packs of monsters trying to skin you alive, while trying to complete original and varied objectives throughout huge, non-linear levels.

Pick your character, smash the record high scores and explore every inch of the levels to earn experience points enabling your character to level up, unlock new weapons and gain new special attacks and devastating skills! Unleash your most impressive combos to pulverize both the monsters and your friends’ high scores, and climb up the official online rankings!

Thomas Was Alone Comes To PSN This Week

Indie developer Mike Bithell and Curve Studios are pleased to announce “Thomas Was Alone” for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita is available today on the US PlayStation Store, priced $9.99; and from tomorrow on the EU PlayStation Store, priced £6.99. A 20 level DLC expansion pack is also available priced $2.99/£1.99.

Thomas Was Alone is a study in simplicity. A 2D platform-puzzle game that quickly engages and engrosses the player with its charming storyline and art style.
