Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection Patch Incoming; Impressions

Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection was only released a few days ago, but it had so many glaring issues from the get go. Most notably that the online modes were unplayable and there were more than a few sound related glitches. NeatherRealm Studios has responded to fan feedback via their Facebook Channel:

“Thanks to all of our fans who purchased the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection and your continued support. We are aware of the issues with the game and are currently working on a patch to address them for all systems. Our goal is ensure the best gaming experience possible for everyone playing a Mortal Kombat game. Please stay tuned for updates on when a patch will be released.”

I’m glad to see NeatherRealm put out a fairly quick response to all of the issues that we’re seeing, but by the same token this game should have never been released in it’s current state. I’m crossing my fingers that they get to all of the notable issues. Earlier this week I posted some impressions which went into a few details as to what was wrong with the Kollection:

  1. Josh says:

How about fixing the freaking difficulty?  There’s no reason the CPU on Very Easy, Easy and Normal should be fighting like they do on Hard or Very Hard.

  2. In response to josh I have to say, UMK3 and the other ones I think, have always had AI that adapt to playing styles, and switch up difficulty depending on how well you play, to change that would be to change the core dynamics of the game. In umk3 though, they eventually die down after a few losses.
