Vampire Survivors is launching today with a big v1.0 update on Steam! The Game Pass for PC Game Preview version of the game will get the update at the same time and further updates (adding achievements) later.
The v1.0 update brings two new game modes, a new weapon, an overhauled soundtrack, Twitch integration, major UI improvements, new skins, new achievements, 11 new languages, gameplay tweaks and most importantly a true ending and final boss fight to the game.
“I started making Vampire Survivors to practice coding and would have not in a million years thought it would become such a hit. I can not thank the community enough for making development this fun!”, said poncle founder Luca Galante. “I truly cannot wait for fans to find out all the new secrets we have hidden in v1.0 of the game. Other than that I’m also excited for a long nap, since we have been updating the game almost bi-weekly since it’s launched into Early Access in 2021. For the people already asking if we are working on more updates, only time will tell!”

‘poncle’ is a small game dev studio founded by Luca Galante, based in London. After cutting his teeth (fangs?) on a series of HTML5 projects, Luca developed Vampire Survivors as a pandemic passtime, hoping to improve his skills as a developer. The game was an unexpected smash hit, garnering over 120,000 ‘overwhelmingly positive’ reviews on Steam Early Access and a bona fide cult following. Luca and various collaborators have been updating the game continuously and are launching the 1.0 version on 20th October (today!).
