Stoked Sloth Interactive has announced that Driftwood is entering Early Access on PC on June 1, 2023.
About the game
You think sloths are slow? Well, Eddy is here to prove you wrong.
In Driftwood, you’ll experience high-speed downhill longboarding as an aerodynamic sloth. Drifting is the name of the game, as it’ll help you strike the perfect balance between speed and control. Drift through tight corners to avoid collision with cars and obstacles, and perform wicked tricks as you take in the beautiful landscape around you. These tricks will help you score points, which will unlock new boards that can be combined with various wheels for diverse skating styles.

“We started the conception of Driftwood during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown,” says artist Jason Mann. “We were stuck in a flat in the middle of a huge city, so we loved the idea of having a game with awesome skating vibes that would take place in a setting full of nature. And that’s what we’ve wanted to do with this labour of love since the beginning: to make something we would love to play ourselves.”
About Stoked Sloth Interactive
Stoked Sloth Interactive is a small team consisting of just one programmer, Leonard Schölch, and one artist, Jason Mann, based in Germany. The two studied game design together and then founded the company in 2021. With Driftwood, their first game, they’ve set out to make a game that provides an intense downhill longboarding experience without much fluff, just a focus on drifting and flow.
