From Press Release:
SAN DIEGO – July 28, 2026 – Today, Daybreak Games and independent development studio Game Jawn announced the launch of EverQuest Legends, a casual, solo-friendly version of the 1999 classic MMORPG EverQuest. EverQuest Legends is available for PC via the EverQuest Legends website, www.everquestlegends.com. Servers will go live today at 12 p.m. Pacific Time.
Developed in collaboration with Game Jawn, a team with deep roots in the EverQuest community, EverQuest Legends features all the magic and nostalgia of EverQuest from 1999, with new features, modern gameplay systems and numerous quality-of-life enhancements. The game has been designed from the ground up to support a more flexible playstyle, allowing players to experience the world of Norrath solo, in small groups of four, or in raids of up to eight players.
“EverQuest Legends is the manifestation of a game I’ve dreamt of for over 20 years,” says David Youssefi, executive producer of EverQuest Legends at Daybreak Games. “As longtime EverQuest players, we’ve always been passionate about expanding EverQuest’s community, and we see EverQuest Legends as a wonderful entry point to new and returning fans of the franchise. Thanks to our passionate team’s tireless work and all of the incredible feedback we’ve received from our community, we’re thrilled to be able to invite players to experience all of the magic the original EverQuest has to offer in a casual and solo-friendly format.”
For existing EverQuest players, former players, or new players who have never experienced the world of Norrath, EverQuest Legends offers the opportunity to enjoy everything classic EverQuest has to offer, plus a lot more. With its flexible group or solo playstyle, EverQuest Legends provides players with the ability to create immensely powerful characters by selecting up to three different active classes per character. As players level up and improve their gear, they gain the ability to take on the most difficult content in the game, whether alone or with a small group of friends.
EverQuest Legends features the continents of Antonica, Faydwer, and Odus (pre-Kunark), and all of the EverQuest playable races (including Iksar, Frogloks, and Kerran), all featured in the original EverQuest art style, including the classic graphics, zones, spell effects, loot, and music, as well as more than a few new surprises. As a live service game with a monthly subscription model, EverQuest Legends will receive regular monthly content updates, with Deity Achievements, the Rujarkian Hills Open World Zone, Nektropos Castle Mini-Expansion and more coming in the months ahead.
