Scott Ellison II’s Top 10 Games of 2020

Dec 31, 2020

I was going to make this the “Top 20 Games of 2020” list, to do a cutesy ’20 for 20′ kind of thing. While that wasn’t a bad idea, and there was more than enough games I would have no problem including, it just felt like cheating. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Review

Sep 09, 2020

Vicarious Visions have done the impossible — no, not the skateboarding trick. They’ve overcome the impossible task of making a new Tony Hawk game as great as the ones made by Neversoft. Because they were like magicians at making every entry an instant, seminal classic, defining the early 2000s in sports gaming. Vicarious Visions have re-captured that magic, and are wowing me all over again, for the first time in over a decade of disastrous attempts by others. This is a remake in every sense of the word, sticking close to the formula and design of the first two games with a modern influence. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is made with the understanding of what made this series so great, while sharing the love and passion for it to be the perfect compilation.
