LONDON, UK – March 8, 2022 – Pugstorm and Fireshine Games (formerly Sold Out Games) are proud to announce that mining sandbox adventure Core Keeper is available to download now on Steam Early Access.
Following a successful showing at Steam Next Fest last month, which saw over 130,000 players downloading and playing the Core Keeper demo, the Early Access release introduces major new features, including fishing, railroads, automation, electricity, new enemies, items, weapons, a new nature biome, three new bosses and more.
Players who downloaded and played the Steam Next Fest demo can also continue their adventure seamlessly when they purchase the Early Access version, carrying over their world, character, items and progress directly into today’s release, while new players can experience it all for the very first time.
An additional 10% discount will also be available to players who pick up the Early Access release during the first week of launch.
Core Keeper is a 1-8 player mining sandbox adventure set in an ancient cavern of creatures, treasures and trinkets. Players can mine relics and resources to build their base, craft new equipment and survive. Players defeat giant monsters, discover hidden secrets, farm crops, go fishing, cook new recipes and explore a procedurally generated underground world to unravel the mystery of the ancient core.
Features:
- 1-8 player sandbox – Players can work together to fight, farm, fish, craft and survive in a sandbox adventure with up to eight friends. Players can choose their explorer’s background and level up their skills to unlock new bonuses.
- Mine resources – Players can explore a vast underground cave of endless resources. Players can mine materials, discover hidden crystals, fossils, trinkets and survive a procedurally generated underground world.
- Craft & build – Players build their base, customize their explorer and craft new items, armour and equipment to venture further into the cave. Players can experiment with automation to set up mining drills, build their own railroads for faster transportation, and create electrical circuits to light up the dark.
- Grow crops – Players plant seeds and nurture crops to grow food or combine ingredients in the cooking pot to discover tasty new recipes with powerful buffs.
- Discover an ancient world – Players explore living biomes, defeat giant monsters and power up the core to uncover the secrets of an ancient world.
Additional updates introducing major new features, content and quality of life improvements are planned to be added throughout the Early Access period.
