Alien infant stock market sim, Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator is releasing next week on Steam

From Press Release:

El Paso, TX – January 22, 2026 – Developer Strange Scaffold (I Am Your Beast, CLICKOLDING, El Paso, Elsewhere) is thrilled to announce that the upcoming alien infant stock market sim Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator is launching on Steam for PC on January 29. It will be Steam Deck verified at release. As part of a multi-title partnership with Xbox, the title will also be soon available on Xbox consoles.

From the team behind I Am Your Beast comes Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator, a sharp arcade satire that skewers financial systems and corporate greed. It’s set in the same universe as Strange Scaffold’s 2021 hit, Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator. Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator is part of Strange Scaffold’s multi-game partnership with Xbox, which has included recent titles like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown and Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3.

“Xbox has supported my creative voice, and Strange Scaffold’s systematic approach towards sustainability in video games, from the very beginning” says studio head Xalavier Nelson Jr. “Continuing a 7-game partnership to ensure players on Xbox receive Strange Scaffold games consistently and in style is something I’m both honored and excited to do.”

“Xalavier Nelson Jr. and the team at Strange Scaffold are consistently creating innovative experiences with unique perspectives, making them an ideal partner for the Developer Acceleration Program,” says James Lewis, Director of ID@Xbox Developer Acceleration Program. “We are proud to partner with this team to ensure that more Strange Scaffold games continue to reach players on Xbox platforms.”

Lewis continues: “Building on our previous partnership to bring El Paso, Elsewhere and I Am Your Beast to players on Xbox, we are excited to welcome the next seven titles from the Strange Scaffold team. This partnership will ensure that games like Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3, TMNT: Tactical Takedown, Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator, and other unannounced titles are reaching players on Xbox and giving them the options to play in more places by supporting Xbox Play Anywhere.”

In Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator, players inhabit the lives of baby traders across the universe in rapid-fire anthology campaigns, and hire shady consultants to gain insight on prospective investments. Don’t worry, you’re not bargaining on actual alien children—just their digitally simulated lifespans. Totally above board.

This includes shorting a baby’s life if you have a hunch their existence will be miserable, or cashing out just after they win the Galactic Lottery to share in the positive market sentiment. Chase profits through the highs and lows of day trading on a volatile stock market, and confront the messy ethical and economic consequences that inspired it in the real world in the process.

Key Features

  • Seven distinct planets to trade procedurally generated alien baby stocks on, each showcasing unique ideas of what it means to be profitable and productive to society.
  • Consultants you can hire before the trading day to gain information on your trading targets.
  • An anthology of mini-campaigns following the lives and complications of baby traders across the universe.
  • A loan shark that won’t let you pay him back, because he’s then legally allowed to shoot you.
  • A pulsing electro-industrial soundtrack by Kris Kirk.
  • The ability to short a baby, because you believe its life will suck.

Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator will launch on PC via Steam on January 29. For more information, follow Strange Scaffold on X and Bluesky.
