February 19, 2026 | Publisher HypeTrain Digital and developer Gravity Lagoon are excited to announce that the Crustad DLC and the Core Aspect update for Gatekeeper are available now on Steam.
The new DLC expands the game’s endgame with a brutal empire planet, a new final boss, high-risk challenges, and a new playable hero. Alongside it, the free Core Aspect update introduces systemic changes and new activities for all players.
To access Crustad DLC, players need the base game.
Gatekeeper currently holds a Very Positive rating (85%+) on Steam, with over 300,000 players worldwide and full 4-player online co-op.

Core Aspect Update
Fully Reworked Artifact Ban System
The Emporium system has been completely redesigned. Players now have 40 ban slots instead of 10, divided into 5 artifact categories. Slots unlock as artifacts are discovered within each category. Banning is now free, allowing unlimited experimentation with builds.
Aspect System
Aspects are gameplay modifiers that can make a run more challenging or more forgiving, adding additional strategic depth.
Soul Engine Missions
Activate the Soul Engine and defeat enemies within its area to charge it in a new mission type.
Altar of Interception
An optional activity where players can summon the Fugitive and uncover what he’s hiding in his backpack.Additional improvements and balance adjustments are included as part of the update.
Gatekeeper is a fast-paced sci-fi roguelite focused on risky builds, constant progression, and intense combat. Players combine artifacts and triads to create powerful synergies while battling through evolving enemy waves. The game can be played solo or in 4-player online co-op.
Crustad DLC pushes the endgame further than ever, while the Core Aspect update deepens the build system and overall gameplay experience.
