Los Angeles, USA – March 3, 2026 — As part of PIGFACE’s ongoing Early Access journey, indie developer titoloves you and horror publisher DreadXP have shared that the next update for their high-octane shooter launches next week, on March 12th. The Penitentiary & Kicking Update adds new content and mechanics, as well as quality-of-life and bug fixes. Since its Early Access launch in September 2025, PIGFACE has received praise for its aesthetic, varied weapons allowing for different playstyles, and its polish, especially as an EA title, earning it a 96% overwhelmingly positive rating on Steam. Alongside the announcement of the upcoming update, Tito and DreadXP have revealed the development roadmap, outlining new content for the coming months as the game approaches its 1.0 launch later this year.
The Penitentiary & Kicking Update adds a new story level taking place in a prison rave and a subway station death trap bonus level. Tito has also added new weapons, a new special ability mask – the pink Cowgirl Hat – which provides buffs to pistol gameplay, and a highly requested ability: KICKING. As with The Mall Update, this adds new ways to Get The Job Done. Additionally, PIGFACE will be getting two new cutscenes, plus the option to skip cutscenes, and a handful of QoL tweaks and bug fixes.
In PIGFACE, you are Exit, a terrible woman who is about to pay for her terrible past. You wake up in an empty warehouse with an explosive headache, covered in your own blood. A phone rings across the room… “If it feels like something’s been implanted at the base of your skull, that’s because there has. It’s in your best interest to listen to me,” says a mysterious voice. You’ve been hired to do their wetwork and there’s no stronger motivation to comply than a bomb in your skull. Completing missions will earn you money to purchase new gear from the Black Market. A variety of unlockable masks offer unique skill upgrades to enhance different playstyles. Whether you charge in guns blazing, flatten enemies with a trusty hammer, place deadly mines, or slink through the shadows, only one thing matters— Get The Job Done.
