Sept. 25, 2024 — Today Ubisoft announced Season 2 for XDefiant, a free-to-play, fast-paced arcade shooter developed by Ubisoft San Francisco* featuring factions inspired from some of Ubisoft’s beloved franchises. Players can download XDefiant from their PC via Ubisoft Connect, PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. To download XDefiant, go to playxdefiant.com/download_pco.
Season 2 content includes:

The Highwaymen are Here: Inspired by the chaotic survivors of Hope County 2035, the Highwaymen are here to cause chaos in XDefiant. These ruthless survivors come with their signature Skills: The Highwaymen’s ultra – the Saw Launcher – is equipped to launch buzzsaw blades that ricochet off surfaces and rip through foes. Two abilities also come with the new faction: the Scrap Turret, which deploys a machine gun turret with a 360-degree field of fire, and the M79, which delivers an M406 40mm grenade onto enemies. Their passive trait, Revved, increases rate-of-fire and reload speed as the player racks up kills,
Bomb Has Finally Arrived: After being announced last season, Bomb mode will be included in Season 2, requiring players to bring a more strategic mindset as they take turns defending and defusing a detonator.
Introducing Private Matches: As part of Season 2, XDefiant will introduce Private Matches later in the season. In Private Matches – which will start in “Beta” form – players can choose from all available maps and modes with ranked or unranked rule sets. Players will also be able to set specific teams.
Coming Soon: In-Game Events: Look for In-Game Events to come in Season 2, starting with an Air & Space Event, which will come the same time the Air & Space map releases. Additional In-Game Events will be added throughout Season 2 and beyond.
