Busan, South Korea – November 12, 2024 – Just ahead of G-Star, Korea’s largest video game expo, Embark Studios unveils the first extensive look at gameplay from ARC Raiders, their upcoming multiplayer extraction adventure, with an intense, 6-minute look at the game’s PvPvE combat and the game’s post-post apocalyptic world.

In the new gameplay reveal, we follow a squad of three Raiders as they venture above ground on a quest to extract valuable items within the Buried City of Southern Calbretta; attempting to avoid ARC and cautiously discovering if other Raiders are friends or foes. The footage also provides a glimpse of Speranza, the place Raiders call home and where every Raider’s adventure begins — and hopefully ends.

From October 24 to 27 registered ARC Raiders playtesters participated in a closed Tech Test for ARC Raiders on Steam. This was the largest external playtest of ARC Raiders to date, and allowed Embark to hear from the game’s community to obtain valuable feedback to implement in the next phase of development.
“This was a really encouraging playtest for us. We now have lots of data and feedback to sift through,” said Aleksander Grøndal, the Executive Producer of ARC Raiders.
“We know that players appreciate the atmosphere of the world we’ve created and the immersion we bring to the table. We also know there’s a lot we can do to continue to optimize and balance the experience.”
“We’re keen to deliver on a much expanded late-game experience, with deeper progression and extensive quests that take players across new locations, as well as a larger variety of ARC machines and other world-encounters.”
In ARC Raiders, players enter a vast and lethal world. People have fled to the underground colony of Speranza in the Rust Belt, seeking supplies to survive and shelter from ARC machines on the surface.
Some have chosen a bolder path. They are known as Raiders, scavenging the remnants of a lost world. While many civilians and traders rely on them, Raiders have their own agendas, looking for adventures and opportunities to thrive in a desolate world.
While scavenging the surface, Raiders will encounter enemy ARC machines as well as other players competing for resources. Engaging in firefights may be the only way out of a tight spot, but it’s risky too. Sometimes, being cautious and staying out of sight is a better option to stay alive.
ARC Raiders merges high-intensity, time-sensitive extraction challenges on the surface with strategic survival elements below ground, where progression is closely tied to the Raider Workshop. Building and upgrading crafting stations allows for more advanced gear and equipment.
The traders in Speranza send Raiders on quests in exchange for extra currency and experience, as well as the occasional items. You can invest experience into a skill tree that lets you refine your own playstyle.
ARC Raiders is set to release in 2025 on PC via Steam and Epic Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and on cloud streaming through Nvidia GeForce Now.
