Infogrames, a game publishing and distribution subsidiary of Atari, and Sand Castles Studios today announced a massive new update for their co-op penguin platformer, Bread & Fred. The ‘Laboratory Update’, now available on Nintendo Switch and PC, doubles the game’s content by adding a whole new 666-meter map packed with new mechanics, NPCs and lore, as well as several new puzzle rooms and secret capybaras to discover. To access the free content, players must complete the base game in multiplayer to scale to new heights in co-op mode. To celebrate this milestone update, Bread & Fred is also now on sale for 35% off on Nintendo Switch and PC.
Alongside the new update, Sand Castles Studio also announced that Bread & Fred will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S this Spring, joining its availability on Nintendo Switch and PC.

All New Boss Room: At the top of the lab, players will have to beat 4 different timed puzzles in the same Boss room before the time runs out.

Secret Capybaras: Traverse through 5 secret zones throughout the Lab, with puzzle challenges that will lead Bread and Fred to each lost Capybara.
With the game’s upcoming release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the new massive update, it’s the perfect time to jump into Bread & Fred and take on co-op challenges to climb to the top of the snowy mountain together.
