Today, Coffee Stain Publishing and Lavapotion have announced that Roots will be launching on PC and Mac next Tuesday, June 17th!
The DLC takes players deep into the dense and ominous Wyldwood of the Bleak East, where they’ll encounter a brand new faction of sentient plants and fungi led by the enigmatic Tree Mothers. Re-purposing the corpses of fallen foes for their own gain, this cognisant colony of creatures has only one goal – survival.
Players can explore the lore of this bewildering faction through two story-driven challenge maps, and see the Roots in action across five dedicated conquest maps. The DLC will also introduce a new biome, buildings, Wielders, artifact sets, unique mechanics, and more, expanding the Songs of Conquest experience and creating new gameplay tactics for players to experiment with.
