November 20, 2025 – Get ready to clock in. Roadside Research is officially set to launch in Early Access Q1 2026 on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass. Since its reveal earlier this Summer, Roadside Research has garnered 400,000 wishlists and 600,000 demo players, and now the alien-run gas station is preparing for a much larger shift.
To celebrate the occasion, we have cooked up a brand new trailer showcasing new features like mask painting, customizable alien skin colors, and government agents who show up and blast you into goo.
Roadside Research is a 1–4 player co-op simulator where you and your friends manage a gas station, but as aliens, and undercover. Your mission is to blend in, act human, and gather as much intel as possible without raising suspicion. You’ll refuel cars, restock shelves, and keep the station running like true pros. Players will have to manage two areas to upgrade while playing: the gas station itself to gather and satisfy customers, and the hidden alien research station to prepare for the invasion.
