Necromancer-focused DLC Rise Eternal receives release date for HoMM-like, Songs of Conquest

From Press Release:

SKÖVDE, Sweden, 20th February 2026 – Coffee Stain Publishing and Lavapotion are excited to announce Rise Eternal, the first Tale story DLC for Songs of Conquest that will be launching on March 5th.

Rise Eternal introduces a brand-new narrative campaign centered around a fallen champion of the Loth faction Kastus Maal and his sordid deeds, delivering a deeply personal story of vengeance and purpose in the world of Aerbor.

A Tale of Power and Consequence

In Rise Eternal, players will experience a narrative arc exploring the rise of Kastus Maal and the choices that shaped his legacy. Through hand crafted missions, players will once again be asked to command powerful Wielders, lead armies into tactical turn-based combat, and navigate the political and magical tensions of Aerbor – this time commanding truly vast hordes of undead and embracing the darker power of necromancy.

Throughout its development and release, Songs of Conquest has continued to grow through major updates, new campaigns, gameplay modes, and quality-of-life improvements. Rise Eternal marks the first DLC update that pushes the story of the game forward and evolves the heroes and factions found within.

The Rise Eternal DLC is scheduled to release March 5th 2026, and is available to wishlist now on Steam. You can find more information on the official Songs of Conquest website and by following the game on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
