From Press Release:
Milan, Italy – June 3rd, 2026: Global Publisher 505 Games and developer KUNOS Simulazioni are delighted to announce that Assetto Corsa EVO, the latest evolution of the popular Assetto Corsa series, celebrates the launch of the new 0.7 update later today.
Assetto Corsa EVO has evolved substantially, thanks to development efforts since its Early Access launch back in January, 2025 and 0.7 is considered to be a strategical update by KUNOS Simulazioni, as it adds not only new cars and features but also particle effects, the first step of the editor tool and more.
A summary of the headline additions in this update can be found below:
- FIRST RELEASE OF ASSETTO CORSA EVO SDK – THE EDITOR TOOL
The 0.7 update marks the first official step toward community-driven content creation in Assetto Corsa EVO with Assetto Corsa EVO SDK app introduction.
Dedicated to experienced and technical-minded members of the community, the SDK application allows users to produce custom vehicles to use in single-player racing (with future updates that will add the ability for players to take their creations into multiplayer) using a production pipeline closely aligned with the same technologies used internally by the development team at KUNOS Simulazioni.
This first release focuses on car model creation – while solutions for custom liveries and tracks will arrive in the future – representing the beginning of a longer-term evolution toward a more open, expandable and long-living platform.
The Assetto Corsa EVO SDK app is available to all Assetto Corsa EVO users.
- NEW CARS
Assetto Corsa EVO’s vehicle roster is also being expanded in this update, with four new additions. From one of the most influential Japanese coupés in automotive history to two generations of Porsche Motorsport at the very top of customer racing, this new group gives players a mix of cultural icons and machines built to win. The new inclusions are:
- Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II
- Datsun 240Z (2 Variants)
- Porsche 935
- Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport Evo Kit
- NEW EVO SAFETY RATING
EVO SR (Safety Rating) is a brand new addition for the web companion Daily Racing Portal. In contrast to other racing games which simply reward the absence of contact — letting a driver hiding at the back of the field gain rating the same way as a wheel-to-wheel battler — EVO SR measures and rewards the presence of close and clean racing. Drivers increase their EVO SR rating by racing in close proximity to other cars without making contact, whether that means fighting for the lead, lapping the field or sitting in a five-car train. Contacts are read directly from in-game impact data, so aggressors pay and victims are protected. When a contact incident occurs, the quantity of EVO SR reduction scales based on severity, so a light brush at corner exit is absorbed while a heavy collision incurs a significant penalty. Solo wall hits and slipstream taps sit below the model’s threshold and don’t move the rating. This more realistic approach to racing etiquette enforcement aims to limit players gaming the safety system and instead is designed to cultivate exciting and close racing within the community.
- NEW PARTICLE VISUAL FX
This release also introduces a new particle system which enriches the simulation with smoke, dust, spray and impact effects. Physically responsive tyre smoke now properly accompanies wheelspin, slides and drift work, giving drift culture the visual response expected. Dirt and dust kick up when the car leaves the racing surface or runs across gravel and grass, making off-road excursions and circuit edges feel grounded and physical. Water spray builds correctly in wet conditions, and contact and crash sequences are now backed by dedicated impact effects that add weight and consequence to collisions. Combined with the simulation depth Assetto Corsa EVO already delivers under the hood, these new visual effects mark a dramatic step up which can be seen and felt across all racing scenarios.
The 0.7 update also features a multitude of other visual, gameplay, UI and quality of life improvements which are summarised in the official Assetto Corsa EVO news page here: https://assettocorsa.gg/
