From Press Release:
Brno, Czech Republic, June 25, 2026 – MADFINGER Games today launches Patch 0.4.5.0 for Gray Zone Warfare, delivering a major evolution of Warfare mode (PvEvP) and many community-requested fixes and NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 support.
The update reworks core PvP systems to make engagements more organic, less predictable, and more rewarding.
“Warfare mode is at its best when every encounter creates meaningful decisions, consequences, and story,” said Marek Rabas, Creative Director of Gray Zone Warfare, MADFINGER Games. “With Patch 0.4.5.0, we are changing how PvP begins, how it unfolds, and what it means to win an engagement.”
Warfare Mode Reworked for Higher Stakes PvP
Patch 0.4.5.0 introduces several major changes to PvP:
Reworked Conflict Zones
Conflict Zones have been expanded to 400 meters from the previous 300 meters and are now centered around the defending PMC rather than appearing between two combatants. This change prevents attacking players from having their approximate position revealed when a PvP encounter begins, allowing the attacking side to maintain their advantage.New Respawn Logic
Players eliminated inside an active Conflict Zone will now respawn at their faction’s Base Camp instead of the nearest Combat Outpost. This gives the surviving squad time to secure the area and extract with valuable gear taken from their opponents. The first player eliminated in a PvP engagement will still have the opportunity to respawn at the nearest Combat Outpost, giving them a chance to return to the area and recover lost gear.
Combat Outpost Recapture Cooldown
After a faction captures a Combat Outpost in Warfare mode, opposing factions must wait 30 minutes before they can recapture it. The change gives the controlling faction time to establish a presence while encouraging more deliberate tactical engagements across Lamang. Finally, one of the most requested Task Sharing features in Squad has also been added, allowing Squad members to complete goals together and share task progress within the team.
Patch 0.4.5.0 also includes a range of additional community-driven fixes and improvements across gameplay systems. The full changelog is available here: [PATCH NOTES LINK].
DLSS 4.5 Support and What Comes Next
The update adds support for NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 on compatible GeForce RTX hardware, offering improved image quality and performance options for players. 50 series GPU owners can look forward to Dynamic Frame Generation and 6x Frame Generation settings.
