From Press Release:
MUNICH, GERMANY, July 16 2026 — Indie game studio Leyline today announced Guildrun, a roguelike autobattler releasing on Steam in late 2026, and they launched a playable demo right now. The demo is available right now on Steam.
At the creative core of Guildrun are lead designers whose credits include Hearthstone and The Bazaar. With Guildrun, they blend the replayability from auto-battlers and roguelikes into an experience where no two runs feel the same. Players build a team of unique heroes into an unstoppable force. They explore deadly rifts and evolve their builds run after run through traits, items and relics to crush waves of monsters.
Built With the Community, From Day One
Leyline built Guildrun with their players, for their players. From the earliest stages of development, the studio opened up a closed alpha to players who wanted to help shape the game, growing to over 3,000 testers playing hundreds of hours before a Steam page even existed. Today’s demo launch is the next step: a public invitation to a wider community to jump in and experience the game themselves.
