EL SEGUNDO, CALIF. – October 1, 2026 – KRAFTON, Inc. today announced the release of Season 5, ‘Rage of the Frostborn,’ for Last Epoch, the action RPG from its creative studio Eleventh Hour Games (EHG).
The update introduces Rage of Morditas, a new seasonal activity where players can activate Blood Crystals, fend off waves of enemies and earn rewards. Players can use the resources and rituals they acquire to shape the type and quality of rewards around their preferred playstyle. The update also adds Morditas and the pinnacle boss Pinnacle Morditas, providing new combat challenges. Three new skills, along with new Unique and Set items, give players more options for character builds and item combinations.
Alongside the Season 5 update, Mike Weicker, co-founder of EHG, has been appointed Game Director of Last Epoch. Weicker has worked on Last Epoch for more than nine years, beginning during the game’s early development in 2017. He will carry forward the development philosophy established by Judd Cobler, CEO of EHG, while leading the game’s future development and live operations.
“It means a great deal to me to take on this new role alongside the developers and players who have been part of Last Epoch for so many years,” said Mike Weicker, Game Director of Last Epoch. “I will continue to build on the core gameplay experience and development philosophy that has shaped Last Epoch, while listening closely to our players and looking for new opportunities to improve the game.”
To celebrate the update, the Last Epoch base game is available at a 30% discount on Steam through October 9. More information about Season 5 ‘Rage of the Frostborn’ is available on the official Last Epoch website, Steam store page, and YouTube channel.
