Dovetail Games to launch Train Sim World: Great Western Express on August 24th

From Press Release:

Dovetail Games, the multi-award-winning simulation game developer and publisher, is pleased to confirm the latest installment of its next-gen train simulator, Train Sim World®: Great Western Express, will launch Aug. 24, 2017 on Windows PC.

You’ve been invited to work for Great Western Railways as a driver of high-speed and commuter passenger trains on one of Britain’s busiest railways. Train Sim World®: Great Western Express gives you a timetable to keep and thousands of passengers to transport on time, meaning your skill, focus and endurance will be tested to the limit.

The first-person simulator experience sees you departing the busy London Paddington terminus, where you’ll have to negotiate the intense traffic and adverse signals, keeping to rule – and keeping your nerve.

Take control of the iconic Great Western Railways HST and command it to 125 mph along the Great Western Main Line; experience a full ‘day-in-the-life’ in Service Mode, which features the recreation of an entire 24-hour timetable based on real-world activities; hop on and off a range of services as they carry out their duties.

Take control – or ride along – the choice is yours.

Powered by Dovetail Games’ proprietary SimuGraph® vehicle dynamics engine and Unreal Engine 4® technology, Train Sim World uses real-world data to accurately replicate the performance, sounds and feel of real trains.

Catering for players of all ability levels with accessible tutorials for beginners and advanced procedures for experts, Train Sim World lets you climb into the cabs of three very different locomotives, experiencing the thrill of high speeds or the pressure of arriving on time. Live out your dreams exploring the highly detailed and immersive environment – access all areas in Great Western Express!

Train Sim World®: Great Western Express is available to pre-order now for existing CSX Heavy Haul owners at the special price of $11.99. Alternatively, a bundle of both CSX and the Great Western Expressinstallment can be preordered for just $41.58, a savings on the post-launch bundle price.

Matt Peddlesden, senior producer on Train Sim World at Dovetail Games, said, “We can’t wait for people to get their hands on Great Western Express and experience true next-gen train sim action. The HST is one of the most iconic and interesting to drive locomotives in the history of British railways, and it’s been a labor of love bringing it to life for everyone to enjoy in the Great Western Express.”
