Redwood City, Calif. – July 9, 2021 – Codemasters® and Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) celebrate the imminent launch of F1® 2021, the official game of the FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™, with the release of the launch trailer. From July 13, players can take their seat in the pinnacle of motorsport and experience the prestigious F1® series featuring the teams, drivers and circuits of the 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship™. F1® 2021, making its debut on the next-generation consoles, introduces a brand-new story mode, expanded Career mode with a two-player option, and three new circuits, Portimão, Imola, and Jeddah*, available to all players for free as post-launch content.
In the new story mode, Braking Point, players rise through the ranks from Formula 2™ into the exciting world of Formula 1®. The newly expanded Career Mode introduces a two-player option for friends to play online, either together or on opposing teams, racing against each other in synchronous race sessions. Career Mode also introduces Real-Season Start, which allows players to start their career at any race in the season that has already occurred, adopting the real-time driver and constructor standings from that point in time.
From July 13, players can enjoy three days early access with the digital Deluxe Edition which includes seven iconic F1® drivers for use in My Team, complete with exclusive customization content, 18,000 PitCoins and the Braking Point Content Pack.
