Independent studio Land & Sea—the BAFTA-nominated development team behind the critically acclaimed Alto’s Adventure and Alto’s Odyssey—just announced their long-awaited next project, Summerhill, as part of the Day of the Devs showcase.
The announcement included a teaser trailer accompanied by the launch of a Steam page and website. The game is in active development, though the team are yet to reveal an official release date.

As a team, we’ve been massively inspired by the rich history and cultural impact of sheep herding across the world—there are few people or places that haven’t been impacted in some small way by the practice of shepherding. In many ways, sheep herding is in our DNA, and we really wanted to do justice to this timeless tradition and tell a story that could only be told in this way.

About The Game
Summerhill is a story-driven puzzle adventure game in which you play as a young shepherd and their dog. Work together to rescue your sheep and delve into the mysterious, long-forgotten world that lies beyond the borders of home.
Summerhill brings together gentle problem-solving, fluid herding-based gameplay and striking pastoral landscapes to tell a timeless coming-of-age folktale.
