Today, NEXON’s free-to-play looter-shooter The First Descendant released a new trailer for its second update to Season 1: Invasion, featuring the newest Descendant Ultimate Freyna, a new Void Intercept Boss Battle, Halloween-themed content and much more. The revolutionary looter shooter’s second update of its first season will be available to all players starting October 10 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Series X|S, PC via Steam, and NVIDIA GeForce NOW.
The First Descendant’s Season 1: Invasion Second Update includes:

Ultimate Freyna – Ultimate Freyna will make her appearance in Season 1 with her exclusive modules Toxic Moisture and Venom Injection.

Toxic Mixture module will trigger Necrosis instead of Room 0 Trauma, increasing her Firearm ATK as enemies gain stacks of Necrosis. If an enemy reaches max stacks, her firearm critical hit rate will also increase.

Venom Injection module consumes resources to recover the player’s shield and increase Skill Power Modifier, while inflicting Corrosion on enemies. Enemies inflicted with corrosion suffer reduced Toxin Resistance, making them more vulnerable to Ultimate Freyna’s Toxic attacks.

Freyna’s Exclusive Story – In Freyna’s exclusive Descendant story, explore the inner mind of a crestfallen hero, gripped by the guilt of surviving alone after failing to save her love and comrades.

Hailey’s New Modification Modules

Supercooled Kuiper Round: When Hailey’s unique weapon is used, the Firearm ATK and Fire Rate is reduced, but it increases Weak Point Damage in return. The increase in Weak Point Damage decreases on firing the unique weapon, but increases again on successful Weak Point attacks.

Cryogenic Cluster Shot: The Cryo effect is changed to Cryogenic and attacking an enemy inflicted by Cryogenic with firearms deals additional AoE damage to nearby enemies, useful to clear out common monsters.

New Void Intercept Boss Battle: Death Stalker – Lurking in the darkness of the Void is where the Death Stalker can be found. Known as one of the most powerful Colossi encountered so far, players will need to venture into the Void and uncover the mysteries of the Death Stalker to protect Albion.

Ultimate Weapon “Frost Watcher” – This cold and deliberate weapon was designed with a built-in Chill Arche catalyst to allow anyone to fire Cryogenic bullets that course through the entire body and delay their movement, which few Albion Descendants can handle. If a Descendant can handle it all, Frost Watcher can provide them with the most cold-hearted skill in battle.

400% Infiltration Operations – Experience a greater number of monsters for endless battles in the all-new 400% Infiltration Operations.

These Operations include an exclusive currency as a unique reward, which can be used to obtain special items that can be traded to ETA-0.

ETA-0 (Mysterious Merchant) – Every Friday to Sunday, the mysterious merchant ETA-0 will visit Albion, offering a variety of goods in exchange for vouchers. These vouchers can be earned through 400% Infiltration Operations or by exchanging surplus weapon blueprints. Items available for trade include Descendant blueprints, weapon blueprints, materials, inventory expansions, paints and more. Days may vary depending on the player’s time zone.

Halloween Galore – With Halloween just around the corner, the city of Albion has been transformed with dark and mysterious Halloween decorations. Special skins, cosmetics, and hair dyes, perfect for Halloween night will also be available in the shop.

Ongoing Player Event – Players can now join the “Freyna’s Encrypted Vault Shop” event on the official website. Accomplish in-game missions, collect points, and use them to unlock Encrypted Vaults for a variety of rewards.
