MONTREAL, OCTOBER 22, 2024 – Developer Freehold Games and publisher Kitfox Games revealed today that after 15 years of development, Caves of Qud 1.0 will be released on December 5, 2024, for $29.99 USD on Steam, Itch Io, and GOG!
The game has received hundreds of updates through the years, including a whole interface revamp in 2024 that makes it much more approachable and easy to play. The upcoming promised 1.0 update includes a beginner tutorial to help new players get familiar with the basics of Qud before starting their first playthrough. Also included is the much-anticipated final quest in the main questline, with a mind-blowing ending to the game that matches or exceeds the strange, surprising notes fans have come to expect from Caves of Qud.
