From Press Release:
LIMA, PERU – March 20, 2025 – Indie developer LEAP Game Studios is happy to announce LAN Party Adventures, a single-player adventure merging storytelling and simulation that takes players back to the early 2000s. In the golden age of massive LAN Parties, strong friendships, and dial-up internet, players will have to set up their own LANs, connect cables and peripherals, and solve the mystery of a friend who’s gone missing. The game was announced at the Future Games Show Live and is set to launch on PC via Steam this year.
In LAN Party Adventures, players are tasked with setting up LAN parties in various locations and managing all the requirements. From handling the hardware to plugging the cables, setting up the software, and getting the computers to talk to each other. The game promises a fun blend of straightforward challenges on the simulation side, with a light investigative narrative.
As players work to uncover the truth behind their friend’s disappearance, they’ll need to collaborate with their group, solve puzzles, and follow digital clues. Each new LAN party brings fresh challenges to solve and pieces of the mystery to uncover, as well as a new opportunity to make them larger and funnier by unlocking upgrades and tools.
Players will also be able to set up their own dream LANs in Sandbox Mode, complete with retro-inspired posters, customizable computers, and endless accessories. This creative mode won’t limit creativity and will give players all the tools to set up great setups, from small net-cafes to massive events.
“We’ve been crafting LAN Party Adventures in secret, and we’re excited to finally share it with the world,” said Gabriel Shimabuko, producer at LEAP Game Studios. “Our goal is to evoke cherished memories of old-school LAN parties while offering a compelling mystery for players to solve together.”
LAN Party Adventures is scheduled for release on PC via Steam this year. Players can wishlist the game now and stay updated through the official website, join the official Discord, and follow Leap Game Studios on X, Instagram, Facebook, and Linkedin.
