Jump Ship, the co-op space epic has a new name of Jump Space ahead of Early Access launch

Stockholm, August 5th 2025 – Keepsake Games, a Swedish game development studio founded by veterans from Hazelight, Mojang and Coffee Stain, is announcing that their debut co-op game ‘Jump Ship’ will officially be named ‘Jump Space’ at launch, as the game gears up for its Early Access release later this summer.

Keepsake Games has renamed its co-op space epic to capture the intergalactic scale of adventure players can expect beyond their ship. The 16 person team has been blown away by the excitement from the community, who wanted to ensure the new title maintained the identity which has captured so much attention ahead of launch. Jump Space, (former project name Jump Ship) is a mission based co-op PvE in which players can transition seamlessly from crewing their very own space ship to on-foot exploration and space walks. The goal of each mission is to survive with the crew’s ship intact and make the next jump, picking up valuable resources, blueprints and weapons along the way.

First revealed in 2024, Jump Space has seen more than 500,000 players navigate nebulas and explore galaxies during the recent June Steam Next Fest, reaching the Top 3 Most Played Demos during the event. As the spacefaring adventure approaches its Early Access release, more than 1 million players have now wishlisted the game on Steam in anticipation of the title’s release.
