Samobor, Croatia – 16 December, 2025 – Just two months after launch, indie developer Pine Studio is gifting players its first free update for Escape Simulator 2. This holiday-themed update is filled with festive puzzles, playful traps, and a touch of seasonal chaos. It is loosely inspired by classic holiday movies such as Home Alone. The Christmas-themed escape room experience is available now to players who own the game.
For room editors the team has also added new winter and Xmas themed editor props, so players can make their own holiday escape rooms!
Since launching this year on 27 October, Escape Simulator 2 has already reached more than 300,000 players and earned a warm community reception. The game currently features 12 handcrafted rooms with three different themes, and hundreds of community-made rooms. Pine Studio is continuing to develop new themed content packs, with more updates planned for early 2026.
