From Press Release:
Watford, UK – May 28, 2026 – The first mates at Wired Productions and visionary developer Tomas Sala have dropped a message in a bottle to confirm what the tides already whispered: Wired is officially taking the helm as publisher for his latest creation! Marking the next chapter in a storied seven-year partnership, ShipShaper, is a creative ship building fever dream that tosses the rulebook overboard.
In ShipShaper, you drag, bend, push and pull ideas into existence. From the depths of your imagination, the game breathes life into a fleet of your fantasies, allowing you to bask at your creations as they bob on the horizon or are lovingly placed in a bottle. Born from the same maverick spirit that produced The Falconeer Chronicles, this new venture invites players to dip their toes into a world where no rules are the only rules.
In true Tomas fashion, ShipShaper also delivers on the developer’s mission to push player expression further, offering a free commercial licence and an open invitation for developers to build, use, and adapt assets for their own projects at no cost. And for Falconeer Chronicles fans… yes, you can build a ship and export it straight into Bulwark.
Already, players are pushing beyond expectations. From submarines to steamboats, the demo has seen people stretch the tools in ways even Tomas didn’t anticipate, with ShipShaper quickly becoming one of the standout titles from Steam Next Fest.
Key Features:
- Freeform building across
multiple ship types
- Simple, adaptive creation tools
- Export full 3D models (FBX)
- Use creations in your own
projects
- Part of the Falconeer universe
- Dioramas and photo mode to show off builds
Tomas Sala, developer of The Falconeer, Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles and ShipShaper:
‘ShipShaper started with me just wanting ship building to feel good. Fast, simple, no friction. Not a tool, not work… just something you jump into and start making. Then people got in and just… went for it. Stuff I didn’t expect, things I didn’t plan for, builds that shouldn’t work but somehow do. That’s the whole point. Take it, break it, push it too far. Show me things I didn’t think were possible. I can’t wait to see how far they take it.’Leo Zullo, Managing Director, Wired Productions:
‘Tomas is a rare kind of developer; he builds worlds, not just games. Our relationship is based on trust and a shared desire to do things differently. ShipShaper is exactly that. It’s bold, creative, simple even, but it hands real control over to players in a way you don’t often see.’The ShipShaper demo is live now on Steam.
