Ahead of the Steam Summer Sale kicking off tomorrow, Feeble Minds is pleased to announce that their 1-4 player Early Access co-op soulslike, Serpent’s Gaze, will be taking part in the sale. The game will have a 20% discount, making it available for $11.99 / €12.79 / £11. While the game already sits at 90% positive reviews on Steam, the team remains committed to making it even better, today announcing details of the roadmap for Serpent’s Gaze as they continue to make improvements and add new content during the Early Access period.
Stability and balancing will be the focus in the short term, though there will also be some new gameplay content added which will be announced soon. In the mid-term, the team plans to add more weapons and classes, more upgrades, more curses, more blessings and more quests. Looking towards 1.0, the team will add a whole new domain with 4 levels, 4 bosses and many more enemies. New questlines, weapons, upgrades and achievements will also be added for 1.0.
Serpent’s Gaze blends punishing co-op third-person action with the creeping build-creation of roguelikes. Blessings from deities, gifts from your patron and strange relics can be utilised on your pilgrimage as you shape unique builds on each run through handcrafted levels. Create a character that thrives on quick kills thanks to Aspect of the Plague – which gives you temporary stat points when you kill a foe – and supplement it with blessings that increase the duration of buffs, and upgrades that scale with your stats. Or, don the Aspect of the Bold to gain damage for each point of health missing to start building a character made for revenge. Combine this with a massive health pool, slow health restoration and a relic that can sacrifice your own health to stagger enemies, and you will be seeking out pain to return as punishment.
