LOS GATOS, Calif. – July 7, 2026 – Arc Games and Cryptic Studios today announced that Star Trek Online: Undiscovered, the latest season of the free-to-play Star Trek MMORPG, is now available on PC. Console players can join the adventure on PlayStation and Xbox consoles beginning July 29. This update begins a reimagining of Star Trek Online’s beloved “The Ultimate Klingon” story arc, revisiting the early years of the game and featuring the return of Star Trek: Voyager actors Robert Picardo as the Doctor and Lisa LoCicero as Lieutenant Miral Paris.
More than 16 years after launch, Star Trek Online continues to evolve while honoring the stories that defined the MMORPG’s early years. With Undiscovered, Cryptic Studios revisits one of the game’s most beloved legacy storylines, bringing modern refinements, gameplay improvements, and new experiences to both newcomers and longtime captains.
Originally introduced during Star Trek Online’s early years, “The Ultimate Klingon” has long been regarded as one of the MMORPG’s defining narratives, making its return one of the most significant legacy content updates in the game’s history. By revisiting a storyline with connections to multiple Star Trek series and films, this content update also continues Star Trek Online’s celebrations in the franchise’s ongoing 60th Anniversary.
The latest season also presents a refresh of Deep Space Encounters, now a procedural and repeatable gameplay system that expands opportunities for exploration, progression, and replayability through Sector Space. This feature offers a different combination of objectives, enemies, and environments each time players participate. Captains can unlock account-wide ability boosts, and earn progress toward the season’s event rewards while exploring and defending the final frontier.
Star Trek Online: Undiscovered introduces the following features:
- New Episode – The Kuvah’Magh
- Return to 2409 and experience the first episode of a reimagining of the fan-favorite arc. Join Starfleet Chief of Security Lieutenant Miral Paris and the Doctor in vying for peace between the Federation and the Klingons, before more sinister forces ruin any hope for peace.
- New Feature – Deep Space Encounters
- Explore Sector Space like never before in brand-new Deep Space Encounters! Travel the Alpha, Beta, and Delta Quadrants to find unique missions with new objectives, random enemies, and a large variety of environments. Playing Deep Space Encounters will earn bonus Endeavor XP and Daily Event Progress for the new Undiscovered Event!
- New Event – Undiscovered
- The scheming Klingon Ambassador B’vat must be stopped! Participate in the Undiscovered event by playing the new episode, engaging in Deep Space Encounters, or playing from a selection of Task Force Operations to earn the powerful K’Vort Temporal Flight Deck Raptor. This massive Klingon warship, originally seen in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Lower Decks, includes the “Hunting Pack Escorts” universal console and “Imperial Pressure” starship trait, as well as a brand-new “Rapid Fire Disruptor Heavy Emitter” Experimental Weapon!
