Folk Hero receives “Visual Remaster” Update that overhauls the game’s visuals as it releases onto PlayStation

The Targem Games indie publishing and Chudo-Yudo Games studio present the major Visual Remaster update of the Folk Hero project, a pixel art roguelike set in the world of Slavic folklore. The update includes a comprehensive overhaul of the game’s visuals, technical upgrades, and the game’s release on PlayStation consoles.

Visual Remaster

The development team has updated the game’s color grading, added unique color filters for each scene, and refined key locations, including the starting beach. Individual points of interest, the user interface, visual effects, and sprites have also been improved. The game has also been additionally optimized, and a number of bugs have been fixed.

The updated version will be available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation.

PlayStation release

Folk Hero is now available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The console version lets you set off for Buyan Island with a controller in hand, explore its ever-changing locations, and battle the inhabitants of this Slavic fantasy world. New discoveries, unexpected encounters, and dangerous foes await those who dare to see their journey through to the end. The game is now available on the PlayStation Store.
