WARSAW, Poland – September 18, 2026 – Buckshot Software and Retrovibe announced that Project Warlock: Lost Chapters is officially launching later this year. Following months of dedicated development, internal playtests, and community collaboration, the team is turning up the heat to deliver the ultimate retro-style shooter action.
To celebrate the announcement, a brand-new gameplay trailer has been released, showcasing the fast-paced, adrenaline-fueled chaos fans can expect. Alongside the trailer, the game’s Steam store page has received a complete visual overhaul featuring fresh artwork that captures the explosive style of Lost Chapters.
Steam Playtest Kicks is Now Live
Players do not have to wait until launch day to dive into the carnage. The official Steam Playtest is live right now, running throughout Boomstock 2026 until September 24th. Players can head over to the Steam page, request access, and jump straight into the action.
The playtest offers a substantial portion of the campaign, featuring:
3 Worlds and 6 Levels: Battle through pirate-infested islands, otherworldly space outposts, and rot-infested jungles.
14 Brutal Weapons: Wield an expanding arsenal ranging from classic pirate swords and muskets to high-tech laser lances, flamethrowers, and akimbo M60s.
2 Deadly Spells: Incinerate and dissolve foes using Cindris and Veninora.
Refined Mechanics: Test out the brand-new Weapon Wheel and rapid Spell Switching systems designed for maximum combat fluidity.
Feedback Fuels the Carnage
Buckshot Software and Retrovibe want to gather as much data and feedback as possible on every aspect of the build. To make sharing thoughts simple, direct feedback form buttons lead right to a survey form in the main menu and immediately after beating the playtest. Players can also jump into the Steam Community Hub or the Discord server to report bugs, drop balance thoughts, and chat with the developers.
In conjunction with the playtest launch, the previous Steam demo is officially being retired, as it no longer reflects the current quality and state of the title.
