STOCKHOLM and DELFT, Netherlands – Nov. 3, 2026 – Paradox Interactive, a publisher and developer that doesn’t usually support piracy, today released The Silver Seas, a new maritime-themed expansion for Age of Wonders 4, the award-winning fantasy strategy game from Triumph Studios. Available today for PC, PlayStation®5, and XBOX Series X|S, The Silver Seas adds a new culture focused around sailing, trade, and secrets, along with new aquatic physical forms and tomes of new spells for land and sea alike. The expansion is available on digital storefronts for a suggested retail price of $24.99/£20.99/€24.99, and is also included as part of Expansion Pass 4 alongside two more expansions slated for release in 2027.
In The Silver Seas, players can explore oceans that are rich with mystery, master the tides to claim their hidden treasures, and become the undisputed ruler of the waves. The expansion centers around the new Mercantile culture, built on turning every deal, alliance, and rivalry into profit. Place cities on both land and sea, and expand your influence, always getting more out of the bargain than anyone else. Choose between two ruthless subcultures: the Cartel, masters of information and manipulation who run camouflaged smuggling routes and turn stolen leverage into battlefield advantage; and the Barony, wealthy trade princes and nobles who command armies and place bounties on their enemies.
The Silver Seas also include:

To celebrate the maiden voyage on The Silver Seas, Age of Wonders 4 will be free to play via Steam and XBOX starting on November 5 and lasting through the weekend. In addition, the Manta Update, a new content and quality patch, is available today for all Age of Wonders 4 players, including vast improvements to water gameplay, both on the world map and in combat; new options for a piratey pantheon, a new trade system, new Form Traits, and a host of bug fixes and balance updates.
