Persistent multiplayer medieval simulator Lionhearts breaks through first $100k Kickstarter target like siege engine

From Press Release:

We have great news to share with you from the Colorado-based independent team who are working tirelessly to create Lionhearts – a persistent multiplayer feudal simulator where you get to experience politics, war, religion, and commerce in a persistent open world based on the Crusades. Yep, they did it – Credenzio Studios has met their first big Kickstarter target of $100,000, meaning the game’s now funded, and the Colosseum combat demo will now be able to come to life, so backers should start earnestly sharpening their swords in anticipation.

Credenzio Studios is now pushing hard to hit their next goal of $200,000 – the pre-alpha stage, where unique aspects of the game will  begin to come to life.

It’s worth taking a look at one of the very unique aspects of the game that you may have missed – the game’s shadow-tasking system. Players will have the ability to assign tasks to their character’s offline shadow in order to gather resources, craft items, or maintain their fief while away, meaning that your character will go on living their life – even when you log out.
