Bali, Indonesia – Stairway Games, the studio behind Coral Island, is thrilled to announce the first major update for their chaotic, cartoony survivor bullet hell, Funguys Swarm. The Lava Jungle Update will be available on October 16, 2025, at 20:00 WIB / 6:00 AM PDT on Steam Early Access.

Get ready to turn up the heat! The Lava Jungle is Funguys Swarm’s toughest arena yet! A molten battlefield packed with hazards, fiery enemies, and new game elements.
New Arena: Lava Jungle
Brave the game’s hottest and most challenging level. The ground itself is your enemy. One wrong step into the lava means instant damage. Face off against new fiery foes, including Volcana, Summoner, and Cave Bomber.
New Mecha: Potato Bot
Introducing the Potato Bot, a potato-shaped mecha unlocked with the new arena. Once activated, you become invincible and launch explosive potato bombs. Charge the bar by defeating enemies, and unleash the ultimate attack for total mayhem!
New Weapon: Hornet Spike
Aim with precision. The Hornet Spike lets sharpshooters charge and fire piercing spikes that slice through multiple enemies in a line. Perfect for players who love highly engaging combat.
Reworked Weapon Mutations
Weapons now evolve dynamically during each run. Every 3 levels, players choose a Weapon Card augment, and every 12 levels, a Weapon Mutation to power up their playstyle. Mix and match augments to craft unique builds, from lightning-fast attack speed setups to heavy-damage loadouts.

Funguys Swarm is a chaotic, cartoony survivor bullet hell where players can become a Funguy, wield forest-crafted weapons, and unleash bonker powers against the Fire King’s army! Developed by Stairway Games (Coral Island), the game is currently available on Steam Early Access.
