April 30, 2026 – Hooded Horse, Unfrozen Studio, and Ubisoft are excited to share that the highly anticipated turn-based strategy game Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is out now in early access for PC via Steam, the Microsoft Store (via Game Preview), and PC Game Pass.
The first new Heroes of Might and Magic game in over ten years, this next entry is made for series veterans and newcomers alike, built on the familiar foundations of one of the most critically acclaimed strategy series of all time. Engage in strategic empire building, epic turn-based tactical battles, and in-depth RPG mechanics, all while exploring a vibrant land brimming with secrets and dangers.
The initial early access launch includes:
- Six playable factions (Temple, Dungeon, Schism, Grove, Necropolis, and Hive), each with its own unique buildings, units, abilities, heroes, and more!
- Single-player skirmish modes, including Classic, Single Hero, Arena, and premade scenarios.
- A range of premade templates for procedurally generated maps, some with unique win conditions.
- The first act of the single-player narrative campaign, as well as a full tutorial and advanced challenges.
- Online Multiplayer for Classic, Single Hero, and Arena modes, featuring a leaderboard system and local hotseat.
- An initial beta of the Map Editor, as well as custom game lobbies that can support user-made maps.
Plans during the early access period include releasing the rest of the single-player campaign, more premade scenarios and map templates, Spectator Mode, Map Editor improvements, and changes and tweaks based on community feedback. A full EA development roadmap will be posted soon.
The game is localized from English into German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is available in early access for PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store (via Game Preview) for $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 / ¥3,980, and a 25% launch discount is running until May 13, 2026. The game is also available via PC Game Pass.
