The new island “Meadowsong” expands the thrilling story of Pagonia and introduces a new challenge: “The Withering.” Fertile soil becomes unusable, plants wither and die, diseased rats and wolves ravage the fields and villages, and infected villagers are too weak to work. The Pagonians are working feverishly on antidotes to heal the sick animals and people, push back the Wither, and devise a strategy to defeat the mysterious witch circle. Fortunately, gatherers discover previously unknown useful plants, new buildings expand the food chains and make the inhabitants more resilient, pets guard the fields, the magical cornucopia grants very useful abilities through offerings, and the islanders actively support the effort with their knowledge and goods. But as always, it’s up to the players to throw themselves into battle, drive the witch’s circle into retreat, and restore the old order.

Key Features of Pioneers of Pagonia – Meadowsong:

  • The new scenario “Meadowsong” expands the exciting story of Pagonia and introduces a new challenge: “The Withering”
  • New buildings and production chains including fruit cultivation, animal husbandry, beverage production and the wonders of the mysterious Cornucopia
  • A total of 6 new building types, 11 new goods, 2 new plants, and 4 new animal species
  • The new challenge “The Withering” and the “Witches’ Coven” can also be played on procedurally generated maps

Free “Free Beer” update for the base game Pioneers of Pagonia:

Alongside the “Meadowsong” expansion, the free “Free Beer” update for the base game is also being released. The most important new building is the long-awaited brewery, which can produce not only beer but also elderberry juice—for all Pagonians who prefer a non-alcoholic alternative as a beverage. What’s more, the one-sided pumpkin diet is finally over, because chefs now prioritize dietary diversity: Using a variety of ingredients yields significant benefits for population growth and supplying miners, and thanks to the new food overview, players can always keep track of everything. For even more variety, the “Free Beer” Update allows players to create their own scenario maps featuring challenges from the campaign, such as the werewolf boss “Mashka,” or landscape obstacles.

At the community’s request, experimental settings are also being made available, allowing for the generation of much larger or very small maps. In addition, the population limit can be raised to up to 10,000 Pagonians.

Another exciting feature is the expansion of the map editor: With the “Free Beer” Update, the community can for the first time create full-fledged custom scenarios for Pioneers of Pagonia with new dialogues, characters, modified tasks, and descriptions.
