To save Pagonia’s fields from the mysterious withering and heal the sick villagers, players must confront the powerful coven of witches that is wreaking havoc on “Meadowsong.” Six new building types and their associated production chains expand the strategic depth; in addition to animal husbandry, fruit cultivation, beverage production, and the use of working and domestic animals can now also help secure victory. Offerings to the magical cornucopia also grant players useful abilities, and the islanders actively support them with knowledge and goods.

Key Features of Pioneers of Pagonia – Meadowsong:

  • The new scenario “Meadowsong” expands the exciting story of Pagonia and introduces a new challenge: “The Withering”
  • New buildings and production chains including fruit cultivation, animal husbandry, beverage production and the wonders of the mysterious Cornucopia
  • A total of 6 new building types, 11 new goods, 2 new plants, and 4 new animal species
  • The new challenge “The Withering” and the “Witches’ Coven” can also be played on procedurally generated maps

Free “Free Beer” update for the base game Pioneers of Pagonia

uo Q28on1lWaThe most important new building in the “Free Beer” update – now available for free – is, of course, the long-awaited brewery, which also produces elderflower juice in addition to beer. To go along with this, the food system has been revamped: From now on, the Pagonians will reward a diverse food supply with faster population growth and longer shifts in the mines. To help you keep track, the marketplaces have been updated with a food overview.

Generated maps now also offer new customization options: landscape obstacles and selected enemies, such as the werewolf boss Maschka from the story campaign, can be enabled. If desired, the composition of the various enemy types can now be left largely to chance: this leads to more surprises, and early exploration becomes even more crucial for developing the right strategy. Another highly requested feature is the population limit, which can now be raised to up to 10,000 Pagonians for maximum bustle. With these new experimental settings, players can now generate much larger or even very small maps.

New 2026 roadmap, including the second story DLC Pioneers of Pagonia – Echoes of Aldramar

Even more content is in the works for 2026: The June 2026 update will focus on scenario maps. Players will then be able to create full-fledged custom scenarios for Pioneers of Pagonia featuring new dialogues, characters, modified tasks, and descriptions, allowing the community to tell their very own stories. In the third quarter, a comprehensive modding package will follow, allowing for far-reaching changes to the game, including new language packs and the modification of existing texts.

The second major story expansion, Pioneers of Pagonia – Echoes of Aldramar, will also be released in the third quarter and introduces a new campaign across a total of 4 story maps. In the thrilling tale surrounding the legendary island of “Aldramar,” pioneers will discover new trade routes, encounter ancient stone warriors, and unravel the secrets of colossal structures.
