September 15, 2026 – Hooded Horse and Arcen Games are excited to announce the first DLC for their critically acclaimed narrative-driven strategy game, Heart of the Machine. Explore the concepts of belonging and community when Heart of the Machine – Kinship releases on October 12, 2026, via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.

​Heart of the Machine’s first DLC ponders the depths of kinship in its many forms, offering additional story content across all tiers of the game, including three extra endings and over a dozen new goals. Other additions include a new giant spider mech, new animals to befriend, as well as the option to turn the city into a giant forest. Explore new branching narratives that delve into ecology, religion, crime, and transcendence, adding unique structures to build, equipment to unlock, and new enemies to contend with.

​Heart of the Machine – Kinship releases on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store on October 12, 2026. A supporter pack, featuring the game’s soundtrack and some wallpapers, is launching at the same time.
