From Press Release:
Farming Simulator 25 just got a whole lot fluffier: The Beans & Alpacas Expansion introduces alpacas, two major new crop cultivation systems, and a lush South America-inspired environment. Now available on PC and consoles, the expansion invites virtual farmers to experience a warmer kind of farm life, showcased in the Launch Trailer released by publisher and developer GIANTS Software.
Welcome to Catuaí: A Lush New Farming Environment
Inspired by regions of Brazil, where coffee plantations define the landscape, Catuaí welcomes farmers to a lush, humid valley characterized by red soil, dense vegetation, and rolling hills. Narrow roads, dusty streets, scattered rocks, and a winding river shape the landscape, while a rural town with colorful buildings, shops, and agricultural depots connects the region. Farmers can run operations while exploring the land to find dinosaur bones displayed at the local museum or visit a remote research station in the middle of the forest to learn more about the region.
New Crops: Coffee & Bananas Add Gameplay
Both crops introduce customizable plantations, fungicide treatments, and bring new production chains along. Coffee demands specialized harvesters, and the yield moves through drying and roasting facilities into products ranging from Packed Coffee and Coffee Capsules to Coffee Beverages, Tiramisu, and Coffee Yogurt.
Bananas build on the plantation system and add a unique cultivation experience: After drawing the plantation via the construction menu, plantations must be set up with transport rails and washing stations that must be connected and may form a complex network. Farmers harvest them manually with machetes or automate the process with hired workers, then process them into banana milk, chips, jam, and cake.
New Animals: Alpacas Increase Cuteness Factor
Alpacas introduce new hands-on animal care: Farmers can lead them on walks to boost their happiness and shear them once a year in spring through manual shearing or have them taken care of by hired workers. Farmers can sell their fleece or process it into wool and various products, including socks, pillows, furniture, and adorable alpaca plush toys. Brahman cows also join as a new animal type, and wildlife such as parrots and (non-biting) caimans bring additional life to the environment.
New Productions, Machines & More
Beans & Alpacas adds more than 25 machines and implements from renowned manufacturers, including Case IH, Ford, John Deere, KUHN, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, New Holland, Oxbo, Stara and Valtra. Colombo Industries & Southern Spreaders join the series as new brands. Enhanced ground-working animations and improved visual effects further increase detail and immersion when operating agricultural machinery. Beyond traditional farming, the expansion adds new materials such as pigments and resin to repaint houses for the local community, and a major construction project.
Edition Bundles Main Game and Expansion
Alongside the expansion, Farming Simulator 25: Beans & Alpacas Edition includes the acclaimed main game, so farmers can build their businesses across four environments, including North America, Central Europe, East Asia, and the new South America-inspired region of Catuaí. The Edition includes 400 machines and implements from over 150 authentic brands.
Farming Simulator 25 is available for PC, Mac, PlayStation®5 and XBOX Series X|S. Beans and Alpacas launched today as a separate Expansion, which is also included in the Year 2 Season Pass, or an Edition including the base game. GIANTS Software will also continue to release free content updates and user-generated content on the official ModHub.
