SEOUL, South Korea – November 3, 2026 – XLGAMES today launched ArcheAge Chronicles, its open-world action MMORPG built in Unreal Engine 5, in Early Access on PC via Steam. The game is available now for $29.99 in North America, with regional pricing elsewhere.
Set in Auroria 50 years after the original ArcheAge, Chronicles pairs fast, parry-and-cancel action combat with the open-world freedom, crafting, trade and housing the series is known for. Early Access arrives one week after a Steam Next Fest demo that hit No. 1 on the popular demos chart on day one and finished 5th on Valve’s Most Played Demos list.
The Full World of Auroria Opens
Early Access delivers a world roughly 20 times larger than the demo. Players can explore more than 60 new areas, including most of the Diamond Shores, Gylden Ruins and Astron Plains. Each region has its own story, quests, bosses and dungeons, plus more than 1,000 exploration and collection points to uncover.
Players can glide across Auroria and dive into underwater zones, then team up for dungeons and raids or test their skills in PvP. All four classes are available: Warrior, Ranger, Berserker and Mage. The life-skill systems that defined ArcheAge also arrive with Early Access, including housing, crafting and trade.
Shaped by Next Fest Feedback
XLGAMES has spent the weeks since the demo working on combat controls and balance, quality-of-life features and performance optimization, all based on player feedback. Updates will continue on a regular schedule throughout Early Access.
The first major update arrives in December, headlined by the removal of gender locks, beginning with the introduction of the female Warrior at character creation, with additional classes to follow in subsequent updates toward full release, along with the addition of a third weapon type per class, starting with the Gladius for the Warrior.

Buy-to-Play, No Pay-to-Win
ArcheAge Chronicles is Buy-to-Play. No items that give combat or progression advantages will be sold. Players who pre-ordered can claim the Dawn Pioneer Set, a costume set for the class of their choice, in-game now.
