Following its own successful “Early Access” campaign this March, indie developer New World Interactive (NWI) has joined Steam’s “Early Access” store today with INSURGENCY. This release provides a broader audience of gamers the chance to buy into the intense, tactical first-person shooter at a value price and help shape its development. A brand new teaser trailer is available today for INSURGENCY, which can be purchased for $14.99 (a 25 percent discount) at 11 am PST on Steam, store.steampowered.com/app/
With the Early Access development process, indie developers showcase their games and connect with their community in a new, direct way. INSURGENCY gamers don’t just play the game in its Alpha phase, they buy into the game’s Beta and completed version too. NWI has formed a direct line of communication between development team and community, enabling both sides to discuss and prototype the game’s design in an iterative process.
INSURGENCY is a tactical, team-based first-person shooter for up to 32-plus players designed for Windows®PC, Mac OS X (and later on Linux), using Valve’s Source Engine and distributed through the Steam platform. If the name INSURGENCY sounds familiar, that’s because it’s based on the popular total conversion for Half-Life 2 — Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat — that saw more than a million free downloads and was awarded the ModDB “Player’s Choice Mod of the Year” in 2007.
Spicy Horse Games, developer of games including Akaneiro: Demon Hunters, BigHead BASH, and Crazy Fairies, revealed its next project is a collectible card game/RTS set in the Underworld with the working title Hell Invaders.
Hell Invaders features actual card battles–rather than two cards “fighting” on a table, the creatures within the cards actually have 3D representations that fight it out–as well as cards that sport upgrades and swappable skills, so even cards for the same creature can be completely different.
Players can battle it out in a single player campaign or take up cards and fight in PVP arenas. For more peacefully inclined souls, trading, card management and other social features provide ways to enjoy eternal damnation.
Hell Invaders is currently scheduled for a Fall release and will be playable on PC, Mac, Linux, and tablets.
Spicy Horse will reveal more on Hell Invaders, including the final title and publisher, in the upcoming months.

Soon Paradox Interactive and Paradox Development Studios will welcome you to a past darker than you can imagine, where there are few shining knights or mighty castles and the kings of Europe are more petty warlords than imposing rulers. We stand only 400 years from the fall of Rome, and a mere 200 from the revelations of Mohammed and much of the world still clings to an ancient code written with iron and blood.
This is the world of Crusader Kings II: The Old Gods, and it is yours for the taking on May 28.
The latest trailer for The Old Gods is the first trailer to show gameplay from the expansion. Feast thy eyes on river-going vessels, the new map and brand new powers that will compete for prestige and prominence.

Central to the new version is the concept of Prisoner Employment, and we’ve been planning this feature for a long time. Prisoners can now perform a variety of jobs around the prison, saving you money on staff and raising money for you by selling goods manufactured by your work force. Prisoners can work in the kitchen, they can clean the prison, and they can work in the laundry and the workshop, both of which are new in Alpha9. They can also take visits from family members in the new visitation rooms.

A note was posted onto Monaco’s Facebook page regarding the release of the Xbox Live version of the game, with an unknown new release date:
We just discovered that there is an issue which requires that we push back our Xbox Live arcade game release date a little. We’ve already submitted an update to Microsoft to fix the problem, and as soon as we know that the issue is fixed we’ll have a new release date. I know our fans have been waiting a long time for the game, and hopefully they’ll have the patience to wait just a little while longer. What’s mine will be yours very, very soon!

Paradox Interactive, a publisher of games and a purchaser of souvenir photos, today released details on the evolution thus far of Dungeonland, the mostly-co-op action title from Critical Studio. Dungeonland, which has received a long list of gameplay tweaks and bizarre adventurer costumes since launch, continues to create DM tricks, silly costumes to force upon players’ hapless avatars, and a horde of behind-the-scenes tweaks on a regular basis. These alterations continue to lure unwary heroes inside the park where they will have so much fun that they won’t realize their best skills have been nerfed until it’s too late.
Dungeonland is a cooperative action game that sends three players to a theme park just for heroic adventurers, surviving relentless hordes of friendly staff and stealing loot from all of the gift shops. Since the game’s launch in early 2013, Dungeonland has been carefully altered and expanded by the Dungeon Maestro and his minions at Critical Studio.
“New language options, cheaper perks, Mimics who won’t bite you more than once each – it’s really amazing how much work goes into keeping my theme park open every day,” said the Dungeon Maestro, director of corporate defenestrations at Paradox Interactive. “I’ve even cut down on some of the grinding, so heroes can have their precious little abilities unlocked sooner. The actual grinder where I put their bodies, though, that part’s still there. I mean, can you imagine? Like I have room for all those corpses in here.”

Today, development studio Born Ready Games has announced its latest addition to the Strike Suit universe, Strike Suit Infinity, which will be released for Windows PC on April 30, 2013. Strike Suit Infinity is a wave-based score-chaser that does not require the main game to play. Strike Suit Infinity combines all the combat skills and high-flying maneuvers players will have used in Strike Suit Zero and has been designed to provide endless challenge for competitive players through online leaderboards.
In Strike Suit Infinity, players fight to stay alive as long as possible against a never-ending armada of enemies, with the intention of surviving each round and climbing as high up the leaderboards as possible. Each round is comprised of numerous waves of enemies, which get progressively harder.
In order to reach the top of the leaderboard, players will need to successfully chain their scoring to increase their score multiplier. The multiplier will decay however, so players must maintain rhythm while quickly dispatching enemy ships.
In between rounds, players can use credits earned during combat to purchase reinforcements. Reinforcements range from Interceptors and Fighters all the way up to Cruisers and Frigates – challenging players to make strategic choices to get to the top of the leaderboard.
Strike Suit Infinity will be available via Steam on April 30 for $6.99 USD
Owners of Strike Suit Zero will be excited to learn that Born Ready Games will soon also release theHeroes of the Fleet mission pack DLC for the game. Further details on this pack will follow shortly.
