Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment won eight awards at Spike TV’s 2011 Video Game Awards (VGAs) which premiered live Saturday, December 10.
Batman: Arkham City, the critically acclaimed videogame developed by Rocksteady Studios, was honored with four awards: Best Action Adventure Game, Best Xbox 360 Game, Character of the Year, and Best Adapted Video Game. The game builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players flying through the expansive Arkham City – five times larger than the game world in Batman: Arkham Asylum. Batman: Arkham City currently stands as one of the highest reviewed games of 2011 on Metacritic.com where it is ranked #1 and #3 for PlayStation3 and Xbox 360, with average review scores of 96 and 94, respectively.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have confirmed that the Arkham City Skins Pack is available now in the Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for 400 Microsoft Points and for Games for Windows for $4.99. The pack is also available in North America in the PlayStation®Network for $4.99.
Batman: Arkham Asylum was a surprise hit for 2009, by being both a great action game and the best superhero game made. Six months have passed since the events of Arkham Asylum and now Dr. Hugo Strange has been assigned to run Arkham City – which can’t be good. I can’t detail how it is you get into Arkham City, but it’s one of the strongest and engaging openings to a game. Batman now has to find and stop Hugo Strange all while deterring some of the great villains like The Joker, Two-Face, and the Penguin, even stopping random acts of violence within the confines of the prison. All of it seems daunting for even Batman to do alone.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced the Nightwing Bundle Pack for Batman: Arkham City will be available November 1. Nightwing comes complete with his own unique gadgets and special moves, and is playable in all challenge maps in the game, as well as two additional challenge maps that are included with the pack: Wayne Manor and Main Hall. The pack also contains a bonus Animated Series Nightwing character skin.
The Robin Bundle Pack is scheduled for availability on November 22 to all owners of the game.
Both download content bundles will be offered on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for 560 Microsoft Points and PlayStation®Network for $6.99.

Just got a notice from WB Games PR:
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Rocksteady Studios are releasing the PC version of Batman: Arkham City in November. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game are confirmed to be final and will be available beginning October 18 in North America, October 19 in Australia, and October 21 in Europe and other global territories.
If you recall, Batman Arkham Asylum was delayed on PC when it first came out for some enhancements and features, such as PhysX support for nVidia cards. It seems that may be the case here. No official reason as to why has been stated.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, WaterTower Music and DC Entertainment today announced Batman: Arkham City – The Album will be releasing two weeks prior to the game’s North American release on October 18th. On October 4th. The Batman: Arkham City Collector’s Edition of the game will include an album download along with additional bonus content.
The artists featured on Batman: Arkham City – The Album approached their contributions to the album with their own unique interpretations of the stories surrounding Batman. The result is an eclectic mix of dynamic, atmospheric songs for an album that will appeal to fans of both the artists and Batman: Arkham City. Coheed and Cambria frontman Claudio Sanchez said, “I write in a very conceptual format with the stories that surround Coheed and Cambria, but Batman has a much larger, defined history and rules that go along with it. My goal was to find universal themes from Batman’s existing history to help give the lyrics legs and dimension so that the song could live within that world.”
