Sequence Review

Oct 30, 2011

Hybrids are all around us: combat racing games, puzzle RPGs, first person / real time strategy, Prius’, and even peanut butter and jelly. Iridium Studios brings us a mash-up of two genres not likely to be friends: music and RPG. Sequence takes what made DDR famous and mashes it with RPG nature of battling enemies, gathering loot, and levelling up – combining to be one unusual, yet refreshing take thanks to this indie developer.

Sequence game given away FREE for EVERY NeoGAF Member – Go get yours!

Oct 20, 2011

This is just too amazing not to post. Indie Developers Iridium Studios just released their first game, titled “Sequence”. It’s out on Steam right now for $4.49 (10% off) and when that’s over it’ll be regularly price at $4.99. Now, what the developers are doing is amazing and nothing like I’ve ever seen before – they’re giving every member of NeoGAF (who replies in a specific way) a free game code for Steam.

What is Sequence?

Sequence is a crazy rhythm/RPG mashup with a soundtrack by Ronald Jenkees and a full, 10-12 hour story mode.

Now here’s the deal, if you’re not currently a member of NeoGAF you cannot simply just sign-up. They have stringent requirements and there’s usually a 6-month wait and approval process. So unless you’re already in, you won’t get your chance to get Sequence. The developers are giving away their game until the end of the year (no limit on the codes they can produce) and if you’d like to donate, go here.

I’ve received my copy and will be reviewing the game as a way to thank them for their generosity.
