Today Rockstar Games is kicking off the holiday season with a Festive Surprise for all the residents of Los Santos. Today’s update includes new weapons, gear, vehicles, a forecast of snow, and a number of fixes.
Identical to last year’s release on older consoles in terms of story, the simply titled Grand Theft Auto V is reworked to utilize the power of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Without so much as a “HD” or “Remastered” on the box, there’s nothing to suggest anything is different with this release. And for the most part that is true, as you’ll be replaying the same story, but in such a way that it won’t feel the same – especially when that is done from the first-person perspective.
Accompanying the announcement of the “First Person Mode”, Rockstar has also released 25 new screenshots.
Rockstar has provided a list of some of the new items and activities that will be available for returning players, as well as some additional information about the upcoming versions of Grand Theft Auto V, out November 18, 2014 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and coming to PC on January 27, 2015.
Rockstar Games is proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto V will arrive on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft onNovember 18, 2014, with the PC version to follow on January 27, 2015.

The free Deathmatch & Race Creators Beta update for Grand Theft Auto Online is now available for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Given some of the recent technical issues during these first days of GTA Online, and now that things are starting to look much smoother (touch wood!), Rockstar is planning to provide a special stimulus package or all who have played or will play Grand Theft Auto Online this month. They will be dropping a cool half a million GTA$ in the GTA Online bank accounts of all players this month, starting as early as next week.
‘Don’t Spend It All in One Place!’
In order to keep the current worldwide in-game economy balanced, Rockstar will be providing this GTA$ to players via two deposits of $250,000. They will announce specific dates as soon as possible, but are currently hoping to be able to make the first deposit by the end of next week (after they’ve confirmed that issues causing game progress loss have been fixed) with the second installment to happen by the end of the month. For players who experienced cloud server errors, connection issues, and lost game progress and characters in these first days of GTA Online, we hope this GTA$ helps to facilitate a fresh start or makes your continued life in Los Santos and Blaine County extra sweet.
Below are a few more details on how it will work. Stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for tips on how to make the most of GTA$ cash, info on ways and places to earn more cash fast, as well as updates on all the new GTA Online content additions we’re working on for this fall and beyond.
