World of Warcraft base game being handed out by Blizzard?
So I was sitting at home last night deciding whether or not to look more into RIFT or go with a classic like World of Warcraft. I logged into my Blizzard account to see if I could activate a 10-day trial. To my surprise, there was a message awaiting me. I could activate the full base game of World of Warcraft and get 30-days of play for free. Decisions decisions…
Once activated, I started playing a Night Elf Warrior (Alliance) on Undermine Realm for now. I’m currently Level 5 with the little time I had to play once everything downloaded. I’ll probably create other characters just to get a feel for what I like and don’t like. Achievements begin at Level 10, so I’m kind of excited to see how this all plays out, since Raptr tracks that sort of thing. Naturally, I will be writing a feature (or quasi-review) on World of Warcraft.
So those of you out there who have a Battle.net account and DO NOT have WoW, you might be in for a surprise. I only had StarCraft II beta and retail game on my account and this recently got added in the past week or so. Of course after the first 30 days, you have to pay a $15 monthly fee, but it might be worth it, we shall see…
