Redwood City, Calif. – February 22, 2023 – Codemasters™ and Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) today give players access to the Alfa Romeo F1 Team 2023 C43 car via EA SPORTS F1® 22. This in-game first is available for all players* in Time Trial mode ahead of the FORMULA 1 ARAMCO PRE-SEASON TESTING 2023 event, starting later this week.
The striking red and black design that Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu will drive in the 2023 FIA Formula One World Championship™ is an evolution of last year’s model which achieved a P6 finish in the 2022 FIA Formula 1® Constructors’ Championship – their best result in more than a decade.
“Pre-season testing is a highly anticipated moment in the Formula 1 calendar and the first opportunity for fans to see how the new cars perform on the grid,” said John Merchant, F1 Global Brand Director at EA SPORTS. “We’re delighted to become part of the 2023 re-start by giving our players the opportunity to be the first to race and test the C43.”

Additionally, EA SPORTS F1® 22 will be added to The Play List from March 2, making the game available for EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members. New players across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC will be able to enjoy the thrills of Formula 1® with the most authentic re-creation of the pinnacle of motorsport.
