From Press Release:
March 22nd – Fresh from celebrating a successful year in Early Access, Siege-survival RTS Diplomacy Is Not An Option is gearing up to march out of Early Access this November. But there’s plenty of skirmishing to be done before then, including a major new content update this Spring.
The Spring update brings a casual Sandbox mode to the game, allowing players to experiment with new strategies against enemy waves of their own choosing. There’s also new technologies to research at the University, and the chance to bamboozle, impale or just plain explode your foes with Oil, Stake and Mine traps. But all of this pales in comparison to what’s coming at launch. Get a first glimpse of the conflict to come in the new trailer below:
Diplomacy Is Not An Option will be launching this November with a single enormous update far outweighing every single piece of Early Access content thus far. Here’s just some of what players can look forward to:
-
A colossal, branching story-driven campaign with two main story arcs, dozens of cinematic cutscenes and multiple endings. Will you fight at the King’s side, or join the rebellion against his tyrannical rule?
-
Vastly expanded environment and mission variety, with five new types of battleground, hordes of new enemy types (both human and monstrous) and more ways to claim victory.
-
A dozen new Challenge maps and six new Endless Mode maps to conquer.
-
A fully featured map and mission editor, allowing players to create and share complex scenarios with custom victory and failure conditions.
Diplomacy Is Not An Option is available now on Steam, GOG and Humble for £19.99/$24.99/€20.99, with the price set to increase once the game leaves Early Access later in November. Join their official Discord channel for up-to-the-minute updates on development.
Also coming in 2023 from Door 407: URBO, a casual city-building puzzle game, with a demo available now.
